Tuesday, March 10, was a memorable day for Georgia United, as the credit union was named a Junior Achievement (JA) 100 Club member for the fourth consecutive year.
The JA 100 Club recognizes organizations that have 100 volunteers participate during the academic calendar year. JA partners with 200+ organizations with roughly 20 meeting the 100 Club standards.
As of March, 106 Georgia United team members have volunteered at JA Centers, with a total number of volunteers projected to surpass 125 for the 2019-2020 academic calendar year. Georgia United is a longstanding partner and sponsor of Junior Achievement in Georgia, with focus in the Gwinnett, Atlanta, North Georgia and upcoming Dalton areas.
The credit union encourages volunteerism through their Service Day program and each year Georgia United team members enjoy volunteering at JA to help students learn financial concepts in a real- world setting.
