Electro Savings Credit Union donates $1,000 to Operation Food Search with funds saved from holding its first Virtual Annual Meeting

COVID-19 is impacting us all, but some more than others. One impact for many companies, including Electro Savings Credit Union, is the need to hold their annual shareholder meetings virtually. As a result of transitioning its meeting from an in-person event to a virtually held video call, Electro was able to save on the cost of food, beverages, and venue rental.  This savings has been donated to fighting hunger in the greater St. Louis area via Operation Food Search.

“We are proud to donate $1,000 in cost savings from our virtual 2020 annual meeting to help our St. Louis area neighbors in need,” said Jim Struble, President & CEO of Electro.

“The support of Electro Savings Credit Union is especially meaningful during the current crisis,” said OFS Executive Director Kristen Wild.

“With the rise in food insecurity due to the pandemic, more and more people are relying on us for help—and we are relying on our generous partners to respond to the need.”
