Resource One Houston employees partner with Kids’ Meals this holiday season to help with the initiative to end childhood hunger and help bring a little holiday magic to those in need.
For Thanksgiving, Resource One employees helped deliver over sixty-five turkeys with all the trimmings to the Kids’ Meals children's families. In addition to the deliveries, employees helped collect non-perishable food items to assist Kids’ Meals in feeding over 2,000 families for the holiday.
“It was a very heartwarming day and one I know our team will not forget,” stated Suzanne Peterson, Director of Sales & Service at Resource One Credit Union. “After Thanksgiving, we will be asking the employees to collect non-perishable side items again, to go along with the hams that Kids’ Meals Inc. will be delivering, and to decorate hundreds of paper bags for the side items to go in.”
Kids’ Meals mission is to feed children under the age of six who face debilitating hunger due to extreme poverty in the Houston area.
