InRoads proudly donates over $120K to support their community in 2020

In a continued effort to support their community in 2020, InRoads Credit Union donated $37,877 to local non-profit organizations and $82,686 to local schools as part of their Team up for Schools program.

In addition to the $37,877 donated to local community organizations, the credit union performed 730 random acts of kindness throughout the year. These included delivering books for school children on Read Across America day, restaurant giveaways, handing out reusable shopping bags at grocery stores, writing notes and delivering gifts to seniors receiving food from Meals on Wheels, and more.

“We were honored to be able to donate time and money to local community organizations throughout 2020,” remarked Brooke Van Vleet, InRoads President/CEO. “It was a momentous year for everyone, and we were happy to do anything we could to make a difference.”

As part of their Team up for Schools program, the credit union donated $82,686 to local schools. To raise the much-needed funding, the credit union contributed 5¢ for every debit card transaction their members made when they used one of three high-school themed cards. In addition, InRoads helped 249 high school students learn important financial skills through its financial reality fairs and financial education in the classroom.
