In 2020, TBA Credit Union awarded nine classroom improvement grants to local educators, totaling $7,950.00.
Each year, TBA Credit Union forms a Classroom Grant Committee comprised of three TBACU employees who evaluate applications submitted by educators. Applications are evaluated on how many students are benefiting from the funds, how the request relates to classroom instruction, and how the funds will directly impact students in the future. In 2020, the committee reviewed fourteen grant applications and nine were selected:

- Kris Galoci of Greenspire School
- Patty Roussety of Kingsley Elementary School
- Janine Winkler of Immaculate Conception Elementary School
- Jenny Walter of Traverse Heights Elementary School
- Alicia Richards of Traverse City West Middle School
- Kristin Sulecki of Silver Lake & Westwoods Elementary
- Maria Elshaw of Immaculate Conception Elementary School
- Jennifer Gretzmacher of Glen Lake Elementary School
