SCU Credit Union announced the promotion of Wassim Sasa to Chief Information Officer. In his new role, he will oversee and manage the Credit Union’s network infrastructure, network security and business applications.
“Because of Wassim’s leadership and expertise, we quickly adapted our business to operate remotely at the very onset of the pandemic, keeping our employees safe and serving our members without interruption,” said SCU Credit Union CEO Jim Carlson.
Sasa is excited for his new role, “I’m looking forward to building on the work we have already begun and keeping SCU Credit Union in the forefront of security and technology for our members and our employees.”
Sasa most recently served as the Senior Vice President of IT & Infrastructure Security at the Credit Union and has 20 years of information technology experience focused on network architecture and security. In addition to his previous experience, Sasa has been a Faculty Instructor at the New England Institute of Technology since 2014 and recently became an Adjunct Faculty Instructor at Southern New Hampshire University, where he earned his M.S. in Information Technology and Information Security.
