On Tuesday, February 9, 2021, Pelican State Credit Union will host a free virtual Financial Wellness Workshop where attendees will get their 2021 tax season questions answered live by a panel of experts.
The workshop will be hosted live on both Zoom and Pelican’s Facebook page. The panel will consist of Pelican Nationally Certified Credit Counselors Kimberly Gaines and Lisa Fuller, as well as Capital Area United Way Director of Income Stability Delores Hurst. Pelican Assistant Vice President of Financial Outreach Jessica Sharon will be moderating the panel and helping field all questions.
The workshop begins at 7:00 pm, and guests will learn effective ways to utilize their tax returns such as using it to pay down debt, saving it for emergencies, and much more.
Attendees will be able to ask real-time questions during the workshop using the Q&A feature on Zoom or the comments section on the Facebook stream. There will also be a section during registration for attendees to submit their questions beforehand.
The virtual workshop is completely free and open to the public, and Pelican membership is not required to attend the workshop or ask questions.
