San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, returns as the presenting sponsor of The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee, presented in collaboration with the San Diego County Office of Education. The San Diego Union-Tribune Countywide Spelling Bee is open to 6th, 7th and 8th grade students in a public or private school with a combined enrollment of 30 or more children. The overall winner of the countywide Spelling Bee will be awarded the title of Spelling Bee Champion and will compete in the 2021 Scripps National Spelling Bee.

“SDCCU is pleased to once again partner with the San Diego County Office of Education and The San Diego Union-Tribune to sponsor this virtual educational event,” said SDCCU President and CEO Teresa Campbell. “Students have been working very hard throughout the year for this moment to test their advanced spelling skills.”
