Mills42 Federal Credit Union teams with Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust

On a beautiful day in late June, members of the Mills42 FCU Team worked tirelessly and cheerfully with Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust to keep the iconic Concord River Greenway the magical destination it has always been.

Their primary mission was to tackle invasive plant species that can be incredibly damaging to a waterway’s ecosystem, especially one as critical to our region as the Concord River Greenway. According to a Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust Facebook post made on June 23rd, the Mills42 Team’s efforts made a visible impact.

Derek Cronin, CEO of Mills42, sums up the team’s involvement this way: “We were thrilled to volunteer with Lowell Parks & Conservation Trust by assisting them with stewardship of the Concord River Greenway. They do great work at the special places in our city that make Lowell such a unique and vibrant community. It was really nice to lend a hand. What a great day!”

“We’re a community credit union,” Cronin goes on to explain. “And we love our community. Making a difference by volunteering with local non-profits is one of the many ways we get to show that love month in and month out.”
