Patelco Credit Union, a Bay Area-based credit union dedicated to the financial wellness of its members and communities, was a proud sponsor of the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano’s recent Nourish Gala and Drive-in to Fight Hunger. The event raised more than $250,000 for hunger relief in the local community. Patelco’s contribution directly goes to delivering 40,000 meals to people in need in the Contra Costa and Solano communities.
The event featured music and trivia, a live-auction, and–most importantly–a chance to help raise funds for struggling community members who need help putting food on their tables. After the Nourish Gala formal program, attendees could stay and enjoy a full-length showing of Back to the Future.
“With one in nine people within Contra Costa and Solano counties turning to the Food Bank for emergency and supplemental food, we’re proud to partner and support our community,” said Wendy Haller, Patelco’s vice president of member experience. “Now more than ever, we are passionate about giving back and are dedicated to supporting organizations helping food security, financial wellness, affordable housing and children's health in the communities we serve.”
