Premier Members Credit Union recognized Sophie Russ and Jack Reuter as the 2021 recipients of the Premier Members Scholarship. Recipients were selected based on community engagement, personal and academic achievements and more.
Sophie Russ graduated from Centaurus High School in Lafayette, Colorado. In high school, she was involved in the engineering and IB programs and was a member of the engineering, physics and environmental clubs. Additionally, she ran cross country and played tennis for her school. Outside of school, Russ worked as a lifeguard for the Louisville Rec Center, interned for Boulder Valley School District’s IT department, and served on the Louisville Youth Advisory Board. This fall, Russ will be studying computer science at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Jack Reuter, a Monarch High School graduate, has been a Premier Members Credit Union member for 18 years. Reuter earned a 4.3 GPA and completed the High School of Business program. He also served as the Varsity Boys Tennis captain and competed twice in the state tournament. Reuter earned a varsity tennis letter all four years and was named to the Boulder County Preps 2020 all-regional team.
Reuter is also very service oriented and has volunteered over 200 hours as a senior member of the Superior Youth Leadership Council. This fall, Reuter will attend the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado Boulder as a member of the President’s Leadership Class. “Thank you, Premier Members Credit Union, for this incredible scholarship!”
In addition to the Premier Members Scholarship, Premier Members rewards an additional $27,500 in scholarships to youth-based charities including TheEduCntr, Hide in Plain Sight of Douglas County, Hope House Colorado, TGTHR and the Westminster Public Schools Foundation. Additionally, Premier Members awards a four-year scholarship through True North Young Adult Services. Applications for the Premier Scholarship are accepted January 1st thru mid-May each year.
