First Capital FCU donates $500.00 to the York County Rail Trail Authority!

On Friday, July 23, 2021, First Capital Federal Credit Union’s EVP of Finance, Kevin Linden presented a check for $500.00 to Gwen Loose, Executive Director of the York County Rail Trail Authority.

Each year, First Capital selects four charities to support, one per quarter. The York County Rail Trail Authority was selected as the 2nd quarter charity.

“Supporting our community is part of the First Capital mission,” said Lisa Barshinger, Community & Business Development Manager. “It’s an honor to donate this money to the York County Rail Trail Authority to help preserve our county for the next generation.”

Funds were raised through employee Jeans Days and candy bars sales at all of our branches.

The York County Rail Trail Authority is a volunteer, ten-member Authority formed in 1990 under the direction of the York County Board of Commissioners. The Authority’s mission is to enrich York County communities and countryside through the development of a network of public trails.
