Sandia Laboratory Federal Credit Union (SLFCU) has been named one of New Mexico’s “Best Places to Work” for 2023 by Albuquerque Business First.
SLFCU was chosen among the top three Best Places to Work in the extra-large category, which includes organizations with 200 or more employees. To select the winners, Albuquerque Business First teamed with research partner Quantum Workplace. After a call for nominations from the public, Quantum conducted anonymous employee surveys. For award consideration, 50 percent or more of eligible employees from SLFCU were required to complete the surveys.
“We are very excited to be named a Best Place to Work and to be the top-rated financial institution. This award confirms our commitment to creating an exceptional culture that attracts and retains top talent,” said Stephanie Sherrodd, SLFCU’s President and CEO.
In announcing the award, the publication’s editor-in-chief Meagan Nichols noted, “From the Great Resignation to what some economists are now calling the ‘Big Stay’, workforce trends continue to evolve. The organizations that transform alongside those changes – for the betterment of employees and clients – are the ones that remain relevant. Each year, Albuquerque Business First highlights these steadfast businesses via its Best Places to Work Awards.”
SLFCU recognizes and embraces changing trends. “We believe that our success is driven by the incredible talents and dedication of our employees. Creating a workplace where everyone can thrive professionally and personally is always a top priority,” said SLFCU Executive Vice President Alex de la Cruz.
