APG Federal Credit Union invests in the future with $75,000 in scholarships for 30 local students

Edgewood, MD (June 10, 2026) |

APG Federal Credit Union (APGFCU®), a trusted partner and growing credit union serving Baltimore City and Baltimore, Harford and Cecil counties, recently announced the recipients of its 2026 Scholarship Awards Program. This year, the credit union awarded $75,000 in scholarships, providing $2,500 each to 30 local students and adult learners graduating from high school or continuing their education.

Now in its 29th year, to date, APGFCU’s annual scholarship program has now awarded more than $735,000 to 451 local students, helping pave the way for their educational success.

“At the heart of our credit union’s mission is a commitment to empower our members, enrich lives, and lead with purpose in the communities we serve,” said Becky Smith, president and CEO of APGFCU. “As the cost of education continues to rise, our annual scholarship program is increasingly important. Education opens doors. We’re proud to help local students move closer to achieving their dreams.”
