Vibe Credit Union launched its "Give That Back-to-School Vibe" campaign in August to bolster education and foster community growth. This initiative involved a school supply drive across each of its fifteen branch locations, supporting children in need across the tri-county area.
In conjunction with the school supply drive, Vibe contributed a total of $25,000 to Youth Assistance programs in each branch community to support students and their families as they prepare for the back to-school season. By providing cash donations and school supplies, the credit union strives to empower students and set them on a path to success in the upcoming school year.
Youth Assistance is a crucial support system that plays a pivotal role in the lives of school-age children. By offering guidance, mentorship, and resources, Youth Assistance programs create a nurturing environment where young individuals can develop essential life skills and overcome challenges. The donation from Vibe will help fund Youth Assistance programs that aim to amplify a range of skills and interests, from homework workshops to engaging in sports, exploring the arts, playing musical instruments, and much more.
Linda Smith, Community Engagement Specialist at Vibe Credit Union, said, "At Vibe, we understand the importance of supporting organizations that strive to erase and eliminate some of the inequities that exist in our communities. Our 'Give That Back-to-School Vibe' campaign was an opportunity for Vibe to empower our youth and give them a boost as they begin the ’23-’24 school year.”
