Team members throughout Addition Financial Credit Union proudly delivered more than $7,500 worth of gifts to 50 local children this December in collaboration with the Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida for the Holiday Cheer campaign.
Addition Financial team members from 19 different departments and branches united in support, hosting an Angel Tree to fulfill the top three wishes for each of these children. This longstanding partnership with the Devereaux Foundation reflects Addition Financial's commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those in the Central Florida community.
"The generosity of Addition Financial’s team members never ceases to amaze me,” said Cassie Roach, a Marketing principal specialist with Addition Financial. “I put the all-call out every year for Devereaux Foundation donations, and I am consistently stunned how quickly there are donors next to every kid’s wish list. The staff at Devereaux are the real heroes; we’re just happy to help.”
Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, a pioneer in the field of behavioral healthcare, has been providing support to Central Florida for more than 30 years, supporting children with mental health, intellectual/developmental disabilities and behavioral health challenges, and their families. The gifts collected via their Holiday Cheer Campaign will be distributed to the children and families served through Devereux programs, ensuring that they have a memorable and joyful holiday season.
“Christmas at Devereaux is not something every child there has experienced before, even Christmas more generally,” said Erikka Williams, the external affairs manager with the Devereux Foundation. “Having community partners such as Addition Financial who make it a priority to give to the children in our care just goes beyond what you can imagine.”
