Benjamin Janzen is the Stewardship in Action Advisor at Mennonite Savings and Credit Union, Canada’s largest faith-based credit union. He works on projects advancing peace, social justice, and mutual aid in the communities they serve. Benjamin is a past recipient of Canada’s National Credit Union Young Leaders Award and Scholarship and a World Council’s Young Credit Union People (WYCUP) Scholarship. He is currently a member of Credit Union Central of Canada’s National Young Leaders Committee and Credit Union Social Responsibility Committee as well as WOCCU’s inaugural WYCUP advisory group.
With a background in non-profit leadership, teaching, and a degree in music, Benjamin is sought after for his innovative approaches to building community solutions. He is a devoted husband, proud father of four, and is passionate about the impact credit unions can have on creating vibrant communities.
