Christie Summervill’s vision and expertise led to the creation of BalancedComp in 2010, a firm that has grown to serve nearly 300 banks and credit unions across the US and employ more than a dozen talented professionals at its Wichita, Kansas headquarters. With 20 years of experience in financial industry compensation, she’s developed innovative technologies and processes that have transformed the way financial institutions pay their employees—more fairly, accurately, and competitively. She’s a true partner, collaborating with boards and executives to set salary ranges and create meaningful incentive plans that align the organization’s mission and its philosophies.

As a first generation American of parents who immigrated from East Germany, and a purple belt in karate, Christie’s grit, resolve, and loyalty ensure she exceeds expectations of her team, her clients, and her community. She serves as the chairman of the board for Working Men of Christ, a ministry that provides housing and mentoring to individuals coming out of incarceration. She is an active attendee at CUNA HRTD, Bank Directors Conference, the Financial Managers Society Conference, and other leading industry events.

On Sunday evenings, she finds joy in hosting big family meals with rousing ping pong and pool tournaments. She‘s the proud mother of four children, three of whom work at BalancedComp, and a doting grandmother of two little girls.
