James Akin serves as Head of Regulatory Advocacy for America’s Credit Unions, where he oversees the association’s advocacy to federal agencies, including the NCUA, CFPB, Federal Reserve, and the Federal Housing Finance Agency. Before coming to the credit union movement, he served with the Department of Energy, Executive Office of the President, and Department of Housing and Urban Development.
