In addition to annually coordinating International Credit Union Day® and National Credit Union Youth Month, Joanne designs credit union tools to help members wisely manage their money. As part of CUNA’s Consumer Education team, Joanne led the El Poder es Tuyo, Anytime Adviser, and Guides to Independence projects—all are interactive online personal finance courses.
Joanne started with CUNA in 1994 as a communications specialist. She has edited and marketed a variety of programs, including IRAs, student loans, survey reports, and member education. She holds a bachelors degree in English from Northern Illinois University. Previous to joining CUNA, Joanne taught English and film studies at the University of Missouri—Columbia and worked in alumni affairs at Duke University and Southern Illinois University at Carbondale.
