Karen Griffo has worked in the credit union movement for over 36 years, including 26 years as CEO of Roswell Community Federal Credit Union. She is a consistent advocate for small credit unions and has been actively involved in statewide and national efforts to support and strengthen the industry. Karen has served the Credit Union Association of New Mexico and Credit Union Foundation of New Mexico in various capacities for 26 years. She serves as Chairwoman of the New Mexico Governmental Affairs Committee and is on the America’s Credit Unions PAC Board of Trustees. She is a Credit Union Development Educator (CUDE) and has shared her expertise on small credit union leadership at conferences including the America’s Credit Unions Governmental Affairs Conference (GAC), World Council of Credit Unions (WOCCU) Conference, AACUL Winter Conference, and the International Credit Union Contact Center Conference (ICUCCC). Beyond her credit union work, Karen is the former Chairwoman of the United Way of Chaves County Board and has been involved in various community development efforts in Southeastern New Mexico. Karen’s steady leadership and long-term commitment have made her a trusted voice for small credit unions.
