A born and raised ranch girl from small town North Dakota, Katie started her credit union journey six years ago, with First Community Credit Union (FCCU). After working three years as a Marketing Specialist for FCCU, she accepted a position as the VP of Communications for the Credit Union Association of the Dakotas (CUAD). While working for CUAD, Katie gained extensive Credit Union Foundation knowledge, graduated from Credit Union Development Education (CUDE) and found a passion for writing about her agriculture upbringings, while relating it to credit unions. ... Katie fully believes life comes full circle and everything happens for a reason. Today, she is proud to be the Communications Manager for First Community Credit Union, the place where her credit union journey started. Katie lives on a small ranch in North Dakota with her accountant, cowboy husband and their three rodeo horses.
