As Community Impact Manager at Credit Union West, Maria brings 30 years of experience in the financial industry to her essential role of driving strategic community partnerships and initiatives. She has been a bord member of the Glendale chamber of commerce since 2014 and became its first Latina Chair in 2018. Additionally, she holds leadership roles with the Prescott Valley Chamber’s Hispanic Business Association, WeSERV West Maricopa Realtors Chair of the Community Impact committee, Women’s Council of Realtors West Valley Strategic Partner and National Affiliate, West Valley Women Networking Association, Women of Scottsdale and Global Women’s Leadership Network Sister Society Phoenix AZ. She serves on the board of Pendergast Elementary School District Foundation, West-MEC Alliance, OCJ Kids, Buckeye Elementary School District Foundation, and service as the President of the board for Mujer Inc. Maria’s vision has brought life through valuable partnerships with ACEE Investing in Girls Program, YWCA, Glendale Community College and Glendale Elementary school district and more.
Maria fosters strong partnerships with WESTMARC, Leadership West, Local First Arizona, Hispanic Association of Real Estate Professionals and our chamber partners in Prescott, Cottonwood, Greater Phoenix, Scottsdale and Peoria, as well as an active member of the Military Affairs Committee at both the Scottsdale and Peoria Chamber. As a member of the Buckeye Chamber of Commerce, Maria recently played a key role as a founding member of the new Hispanic Chamber of Buckeye.
In 2024 Maria had the honor of being selected as the Women of Scottsdale Woman of the Year. She was also nominated for the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce ATHENA award and was a finalist in the Credit Union Times Luminaries Awards. A dedicated leader she has been instrumental in forgoing key partnerships and championing business growth, diversity and community engagement.
