Susan Looney, SPHR is a graduate of the University of Kansas, where she received a BA in Personnel Administration. After graduation, Susan worked for Texas Education Corporation as a Placement Director. From there, Susan went to American Service Companies as a Compensation and Benefits Coordinator, and to Norrell Temporary Services as a Staffer/Supervisor. After a move to San Antonio, Susan worked with HR&M as a Human Resource Consultant, where she worked with numerous organizations in various industries, many of which were credit unions. As a consultant, Susan developed many human resource products including salary administration programs, employee handbooks, policies and procedures, performance management programs and the like. In addition, she performed many services including internal investigations, counseling and coaching support, documentation assistance, human resource audits, and supervisory training. Susan joined Credit Union Employment Resources in June 1996 and is currently Vice President of Human Resources for the Texas Credit Union League and CU Resources, Inc. Susan also works with credit unions in providing Human Resources Consulting Services for Credit Union Employment Resources. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and a past Executive Committee member of the CUNA HR Council. Susan received her certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources in 1998.
