1st MidAmerica Credit Union announces marketing leadership promotions
BETHALTO, IL (February 13, 2023) — 1st MidAmerica Credit Union announced that Amber Scott has been named Chief Marketing Officer and Olivia Turner has been promoted to Marketing Manager.
“We are investing in the leadership of our marketing team to continue elevating 1st MidAmerica as a premier partner for our members and communities,” stated Alan Meyer, President and CEO at 1st MidAmerica. “These moves further support our commitment to digital transformation and our focus on the financial well-being of our members.”
Scott has led the marketing activities of 1st MidAmerica for over 20 years. During her tenure, Scott has expanded the credit union’s community efforts, launched Voice of the Member programs, and created the annual Savings Tracking program that monitors the financial value gained by members using the credit union. Many of these programs have been recognized with state and national awards for education, community support, and credit union philosophy.
“Amber’s strategic, data-driven approach gains insights that help us to better serve our members and communities,” said Meyer. “She has a passion for creating marketing programs that drive positive impact and engagement.”
Scott is an advocate for local communities and serves on several non-profit boards, including the board of directors for Senior Services Plus, the Southwest Illinois District Auxiliary Board of the United Way of Greater St. Louis, and the Illinois Credit Union Foundation board. Scott also serves as the Legislative Grassroots Coordinator for the credit union and Legislative Forum Representative for the Southern Burnett Chapter of Credit Unions. She holds a degree in Business Administration and Marketing from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
Turner joined the 1st MidAmerica marketing team in 2013. Over the past decade she has led creative efforts, including marketing promotions and graphic design, maintained brand standards, and planned corporate communications. She will lead the day-to-day marketing and community support activities of the credit union.
Also an advocate for the communities served by 1st MidAmerica, Turner’s volunteerism extends beyond credit union efforts and includes service as Vice President of the Friends Board for the Madison County Child Advocacy Center and as PTO representative for a local elementary school. She holds a degree in Mass Communications from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville.
