New online series of compliance videos adds five new titles

FREDERICK, MD (August 1, 2014) — Risk Watch, a new series of compliance videos, has added five new titles to its collection of compliance videos. The series, produced by AffirmX and its sister company AdvisX, presents experts from the firms addressing the latest developments in risk and compliance issues for financial institutions. The videos can be found here.

The latest additions to its line-up of videos include:

RISK WATCH 19: E-SIGN IN 5 MINUTES OR LESS (DIRECTOR’S BRIEFING)
More and more of our daily lives are moving online, and that includes banking, which is where the Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (E-SIGN) comes into play. In this episode, AffirmX Analyst Dustin Stanley provides a high-level overview of this increasingly important regulation.

RISK WATCH 20: THREE COMMON E-SIGN MISTAKES
Because the ESIGN legislature itself is only three pages long, it is relatively easy to follow. However, don’t let its brevity fool you—it still trips up financial institutions even a decade and a half after its implementation. AffirmX Analyst Dustin Stanley delineates three common mistakes with E-SIGN compliance he sees from his reviews for institutions across the country and how to avoid them.

RISK WATCH 21: COMMON AML VALIDATION ERRORS
The effectiveness of an institution’s Bank Secrecy Act program hinges on the accuracy of its anti-money laundering monitoring system. AdvisX’s President Ken Agle shares three common errors he sees when conducting AML validations for financial institutions across the country.

RISK WATCH 22: NACHA’S NEW GUIDELINES FOR HIGHER-RISK ORIGINATORS
Recently, NACHA (The Electronic Payments Association that was formerly called the National Automated Clearing House Association) released a new document called the Sound Business Practices for Evaluating Customer Risk. In Risk Watch 22, AffirmX’s Senior Analyst Coppelia Padgett gives us an overview of this important new guidance.

RISK WATCH 23: SEVEN DEADLY CTR SINS
A new online video in the Risk Watch series discusses the seven deadly CTR sins—and no, they aren’t gluttony or greed! Analyst Rachel Osborn details the seven common errors she sees institutions make in their currency transactions reports.
