7 17 Credit Union and the Akron RubberDucks have launched a dynamic new partnership aimed at deepening impact and enhancing the fan experience at Canal Park. During a special event on Thursday, the two organizations will celebrate their shared commitment to the Greater Akron community, joined by civic leaders, fans, and local nonprofits.
A $50 MILLION COMMITMENT IN THE GREATER AKRON COMMUNITY; A $100 MILLION PLEDGE TO REINVEST IN AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN NORTHEAST OHIO
The evening will shine a spotlight on 7 17 Credit Union’s broader commitment to the region, including a $50 million investment in the Greater Akron community and a $100 million pledge to reinvest in affordable housing throughout Northeast Ohio
Highlights of the evening will include a ceremonial first pitch by Ohio Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, the unveiling of 7 17’s new Akron RubberDucks Visa® credit card – which gives back to local nonprofits with every purchase – and recognition of the credit union’s Workplace Partner program, which supports regional homeownership and employee financial wellness.
