A+ Federal Credit Union awards $10,000 grand prize to end member appreciation celebration

AUSTIN, TX (January 9, 2014) —  A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) awards $10,000 grand prize to conclude its 2013 Member Appreciation Celebration. Announced December 31, A+FCU member Carmen H. celebrated the New Year as the lucky winner of the Credit Union’s Member Appreciation Celebration grand prize.

A+FCU first introduced the eight-month celebration on May 1, 2013 to show members its appreciation for surpassing 100,000 members and $1 billion in assets. Throughout the Member Appreciation Celebration, the Credit Union awarded 536 prizes totaling nearly $300,000. Prizes included cash, free groceries for a year and electronic tablets.

“Winning the grand prize was a huge surprise and a great way to ring in the New Year,” said Carmen H., an A+FCU members since 1991. “The A+ service has been wonderful and I’ve always felt welcomed at the branches.”

“We’re very excited for Carmen and all our Member Appreciation Celebration winners,” said Kerry A. S. Parker, A+FCU CEO. “As we start a new year, we will continue to put our members’ needs first and focus on ways to better serve them.”
