A+ Federal Credit Union supports the YMCA of Austin’s 25th Annual Children’s Christmas Party

AUSTIN, TX (December 12, 2014) — A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) helped bring an early Christmas to area children by supporting the YMCA of Austin’s 25th Annual Children’s Christmas Party. The event was held on Saturday, December 6 at the YMCA’s East Community Branch.

Over 800 youths attended the party and celebrated the holidays by playing games, creating a gift for a loved one using arts and crafts and writing a letter to Santa. Each child created an “I’m Grateful Ornament” to hang on the Christmas tree. The children were thrilled to meet Santa and receive a gift. Several A+FCU employees volunteered to assist the children with these activities.

“It’s rewarding to join the YMCA of Austin and other community sponsors in supporting this special event for the children,” said A+FCU CEO Kerry A. S. Parker. “A+ is built on the credit union motto of ‘people helping people’ and we do this throughout the year through numerous philanthropic initiatives.”

A+ Federal Credit Union has 18 Austin area locations, over $1 Billion in assets, and nearly 120,000 members that include not only educators, students, and their families, but other members of the community as well. To find out more, visit the website at aplusfcu.org.
