ACU Foundation helps 750 open gifts this Christmas

METRO ATLANTA, GA (December 29, 2014) — The Associated Credit Union Foundation hosted its 7th Annual Making Caring Count for Christmas Program providing holiday gifts for over 750 children and senior citizens in Metro Atlanta who would otherwise have nothing to open Christmas morning. Gifts benefited children and seniors assisted by the ACU Foundation’s charitable partners: Norcross Co-op Ministry, Quinn House, United Military Care, Salvation Army and Wilderness Works.

Popular gift items included Frozen dolls, skateboards, magic kits and board games. The ACU Foundation reached out to its membership and employees to sponsor gift wishes starting in November. Members donated gifts back to their regularly visited ACU branch where the presents were inventoried to make sure every gift wish was fulfilled.

The Associated Credit Union Foundation, which began in 2009, is a 501 (c)3 organization that strives to promote the social and economic well-being for the community and the employees of companies served by Associated Credit Union.
