A+FCU provides youth an out of this world savings adventure

AUSTIN, TX (April 1, 2015) –– A+ Federal Credit Union (A+FCU) understands teaching kids to save money is an important skill that will benefit them throughout their lives. To encourage savings, the Credit Union is inviting youth (18 and under) to take an out of this world adventure To Savings and Beyond in celebrating April’s annual National Credit Union Youth Month and National Financial Literacy Month.

Throughout the month, youth members who make a $5 deposit will receive a prize and a chance to win a $100 Visa™ Gift Card. Plus, kids that open a Youth Membership account will receive a To Savings and Beyond t-shirt!

Thirty-five Austin area elementary schools will also participate in the Youth Month Celebration through the A+FCU Green Apple Deposit Day Program.

“As reflected in this year’s theme, learning about money and establishing good savings habits at an early age are key to our kids’ future financial success,” said A+FCU CEO Kerry A. S. Parker. “We’ve created this fun, innovative program to help them become savvy money managers as adults.”
