Affinity Federal Credit Union foundation raises funds for local charities at casino night

BASKING RIDGE, NJ (November 25, 2013) — The Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation (a 501(c)3 charitable organization) recently hosted its second annual Casino night at The Palace at Somerset Park.  Guests spent the evening “Gaming for a Cause,” and raised over $30,000 for the Foundation.  These funds will be used to provide much-needed financial support to local, grassroots charities that enhance the communities where Affinity’s members live, work, worship and go to school.

Among the many local charities that will benefit from the event are the Matheny Medical and Educational Center; the Somerset Home for Temporarily Displaced Children; Community Hope and its Hope for Veterans® program; the Adult Day Center of Somerset County; The Midland School; Morris County Organization for Hispanic Affairs; Saint Clare’s Hospital, and Saint Peter’s University Hospital.

In addition, Affinity will offer scholarships to hard-working students whose commitment to serving the community mirrors the Foundation.
