Affinity Federal Credit Union Foundation “Stuffs The Bus” for United Way of Northern New Jersey

BASKING RIDGE, NJ (September 5, 2013) — In conjunction with the United Way of Northern NJAffinity Federal Credit Union Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charity corporation, participated in a “Stuff the Bus” campaign to collect hundreds of school supplies for financially strapped Somerset and Morris County families.

Local residents were encouraged to drop supplies at a variety of Affinity Federal Credit Union branches that served as collection points.  Participating branches included: Denville, Paramus, Teterboro, Morristown, Basking Ridge, Cedar Knolls, New Providence, Bedminster and Hillsborough.

The effort was spearheaded by Affinity’s Member Experience Officer Katie Ona, who is a member of the United Way of Northern New Jersey’s Women’s Leadership Coalition.

“We were thrilled to join together to support working families in Somerset and Morris counties who are struggling to make ends meet,” said Ona.  “We’re delighted to report that we collected hundreds of supplies!”
