Alabama Credit Union Association announces Alabama State Representative Randy Davis as 2014 Lawmaker of the Year

BIRMINGHAM, AL (April 10, 2015) — The Alabama Credit Union Association (ACUA), an affiliate of the League of Southeastern Credit Unions & Affiliates (LSCU), today announced that it has named Alabama House Majority Whip Randy Davis as its 2014 ACUA Lawmaker of the Year. Rep. Davis was presented with the award by local credit union officials during the Alabama State Governmental Affairs Conference in Montgomery on April 7.

“Rep. Davis is a long time credit union member and supporter of the Alabama Credit Union Association,” said Patrick La Pine, LSCU president and CEO. “He is sponsoring the credit union public deposits bill (HR 454). He also voted in favor of the update to the state credit union act in 2014, plus he supports more credit union initiatives such as right of redemption and data security. We thank him for his dedication to ensuring credit unions can serve their members.”
