Align Credit Union donates $10,000 to hospitals and food banks on Pay It Forward Day

Align Credit Union is pleased to announce that it has donated $10,000 to a group of local hospitals, food banks, and food pantries that are helping Massachusetts communities battle the spread and effects of COVID-19.  On Pay It Forward Day, which takes place every year on April 28th and is meant to inspire acts of kindness globally, Align donated $1000 to each of the following organizations:

  • A Place to Turn
  • Anna Jaques Hospital
  • Danvers People to People Food Pantry
  • Holy Family Hospital
  • Lowell General Hospital
  • Merrimack Valley Food Bank
  • MetroWest Medical Center
  • North Shore Medical Center
  • Our Neighbors’ Table
  • Wilmington Community Fund Food Pantry

“The impacts of the coronavirus have been rapid and far-reaching and we want to recognize and support organizations that are providing critical services during the pandemic,” said Align Credit Union President and CEO Ken Del Rossi.  “Keeping our communities safe, healthy, and fed during these challenging times is paramount and we will continue to look for ways to pay it forward.”

“AJH is truly grateful for Align Credit Union’s generous donation to the AJH Healthcare Heroes Fund which provides the resources needed right now to be here for our community,” said Anna Jaques Community Health Foundation Executive Director and Vice President of Development Mary Williamson.  “We have reconfigured hospital spaces to accommodate more patients (and trained staff to care for patients in a different setting), expanded ICU capacity, and procured additional equipment and supplies.  This support helps to address these efforts and other emergency responses.”
