Align Credit Union offers free home buyer workshops
LOWELL, MA (March 11, 2014) — Align Credit Union is pleased to announce that it will once again hold a series of home buyer workshops throughout March and April. Each event will run from 9:30 am to 12 pm, with programming geared towards buyers of all types. Refreshments will be served and all participants will be given a voucher for $500 off closing costs on an Align mortgage.
During the workshop, Align home financing experts will take participants through the entire process of buying, and even selling a home. Realtors, attorneys, home inspectors and insurance agents will also be available to answer questions and provide guidance. Attendees can also find out about new loan products as well as local down payment assistance programs.
The program will focus on a number of topics, including developing a budget and savings plan, searching for your dream home and tapping into MLS, interpreting and improving your credit score, foreclosures and short sales and understanding closing costs. Participants will also learn about selecting the right loan product as well as low down payment and interest rates programs. This year’s workshops will include a segment on the selling process. This part of the program will help all buyers better understand the other side of the transaction and provide useful tips for attendees looking to sell an existing home.

• March 22nd – Amesbury (Nicholas Costello Transportation Center, 68 Elm Street, Amesbury)
• March 29th – Haverhill Branch (20 Cushing Avenue)
• April 5th – Danvers Branch (110 Newbury Street)
• April 12th – Lowell Hale Street Branch (87 Hale Street)
