Align Credit Union supports Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center

Makes donation to help victims of domestic violence

LOWELL, MA (May 28, 2015) – Align Credit Union is pleased to announce their support of the Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center with a donation of $2,500. The Center provides a 24-hour, seven-day-a-week crisis hotline, legal advocacy, emergency and transitional shelter, counseling and support to victims of domestic violence.

Earlier in the month, Align partnered with Green Stride to host a Mother’s Day road race which raised an additional $1,000 for the Center.

“In our community, we annually help over 1,200 victims and families who have experienced domestic violence.  Our services are available at no cost to ensure that help is available without financial barriers.  We could not do this life-saving work without the financial support that we receive from community partners like Align Credit Union and Green Stride. We thank them for their support — they make our work in the community possible,” said Suzanne Dubus, CEO, Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center.

“The Jeanne Geiger Crisis Center does wonderful things to help our community,” said Eli Bailin, President, Green Stride. “Green Stride is proud to have partnered with Align Credit Union to lend support to the Center and help them continue making a difference.”

“The Center has worked tirelessly to end domestic violence and provide care for victims in the Greater Newburyport area for over 32 years. It’s an honor to make this donation to help them continue their great work,” said Align President Ken Del Rossi.
