All pawed up and no where to go

TEXAS CITY, TX (October 9, 2014) ─ On Friday, October 17, 2014, AMOCO Federal Credit Union and the League City Animal Shelter are teaming up together in honor of International Credit Union Week and Adopt-a-Dog/Adopt-a-Shelter month!

International Credit Union Week (ICU Week), is a week dedicated for all credit unions around the world to provide local service to non-profit organizations and their community. A goal that AMOCO continuously achieves year-round.

Join them on October 17th at the League City Animal Shelter where the pooches will be putting their best paws forward to find their loving homes! The adoption day will include: AMOCO volunteers that will pamper, play and photograph the pooches; Pretty Pets mobile grooming services that will groom 10 dogs; and lemonade and cookies for everyone to enjoy. AMOCO’s CEO and dog lover, Shawn Bailey, will be covering all the adoption fees for the day.

Come kiss-a-pooch in the photo booth, and enjoy some time to get to know the dogs and cats! AMOCO will also be accepting donations now through October 15th for all the animals in the shelter. A wish list is located on the League City Animal Shelter website. Just bring the donation to your nearest AMOCO branch.

Walk a Mile in their Paws
Every day pets are abused, neglected or abandoned; they are left out on the street with no food, water or shelter. The League City Animal Shelter, like all shelters, has dedicated numerous hours to rescue, protect, and comfort the pets. Help them give the pets a second chance of finding their fur-ever homes.
