Allegacy Federal Credit Union announces new vice president

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (September 4, 2014) — Allegacy Federal Credit Union, one of the largest credit unions in North Carolina, announced that Robert Thomas has recently joined the Allegacy Business Solutions team.

Thomas, named vice president of commercial banking, has 30 years’ experience in every facet of retail and commercial financial industry. Thomas is responsible for Allegacy Business Solutions’ line of commercial services, expanding and improving business products and strengthening relationships with Allegacy members and the community.

Most recently, Thomas served as a consultant for banks, borrowers and investors focusing on business development, best practices and implementation. Thomas holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Appalachian State University and received extensive training from the North Carolina School of Banking. He has volunteered with many nonprofit organizations and currently serves on the Alumni Board of Advisors and the Business School Board of Advisors for Lees-McRae College.
