American Eagle donates $2,500 to support diaper distribution efforts in Hartford and New Haven Counties
This latest AEFCU donation will support the Diaper Bank of Connecticut’s work in providing 6,400 area families with needed diapers each month
EAST HARTFORD, CT (November 10, 2021) — American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) today announced a $2,500 donation to the Diaper Bank of Connecticut, which will support the organization’s efforts to provide low-income families in New Haven and Hartford counties with needed infant and toddler diapers through the state’s Diaper Bank Distribution Network.
“Whether it be monetary donations or employee volunteering, American Eagle is always searching for ways to give back to the communities where our members and employees live and work,” said Dean Marchessault, President and CEO of AEFCU. “The Diaper Bank of Connecticut provides tremendous and needed services to families in our home state, and collaborating with this organization and supporting their Diaper Bank Distribution Network will not only allow us to continue our mission of being a community-minded credit union, but it will help keep local babies and young children safe, healthy and happy.”

Diaper need is real in Connecticut, as one in three families struggle to afford diapers and keep their babies clean, dry and healthy. Through the 60+ social organizations within the Diaper Bank Distribution Network, the Diaper Bank delivers an average of 300,000 diapers to 6,400 Connecticut families each month free of charge.
