American Eagle donates $5,000 to address statewide diaper need in Connecticut
This latest AEFCU donation will support the distribution networks for The Diaper Bank of Connecticut and Gentle Love Diaper Pantry (Manchester)
EAST HARTFORD, CT (September 29, 2022) — American Eagle Financial Credit Union (AEFCU) announced $5,000 in total donations to the Diaper Bank of Connecticut and Gentle Love Diaper Pantry—two organizations that provide low-income families in the Credit Union’s service area with needed infant and toddler diapers. Each organization has received a $2,500 grant through the American Eagle Donor Advised Fund at the Hartford Foundation for Public Giving to support their mission and network of families.
“Diaper need is real in Connecticut and it’s been a challenging year for many families to cover the cost of diapers and other necessary health products that keep children safe and healthy,” said Howard Brady, President & CEO of American Eagle Financial Credit Union. “Our Credit Union will always do our part to support local families and the organizations that serve them, and we thank The Diaper Bank of Connecticut and the Gentle Love Diaper Pantry for their impact in our communities.”
“We are honored to have sponsors such as American Eagle Financial Credit Union, who allow us to purchase more diapers to help us reach our goal as we work to address this critical health need throughout our state,” said Janet Stolfi Alfano, Executive Director of The Diaper Bank of Connecticut. “In every county, in every community, families experience diaper need, and we’re grateful to have support from local businesses to raise awareness and help us provide for our neighbors.”
“We thank American Eagle for their generous contribution and support of our mission,” said Kyle Zingler, Chief Operating Officer of Gentle Love Diaper Pantry. “Through donations like this, and with the help of our community partners, we have been able to distribute 120,000 diapers and 110,000 wipes to marginalized, low income families in the Manchester, CT region.”
