American United Federal Credit Union announces retirement of Michelle Thorne, President/CEO, and appointment of new leadership
WEST JORDAN, UTAH (May 8, 2023) — American United Federal Credit Union, a credit union serving various cities throughout Utah and California, has announced the retirement of its current President/CEO, Michelle Thorne, and the appointment of new leadership to guide the organization forward.
After 20 years of dedicated service to American United Federal Credit Union, Michelle Thorne has decided to retire from the position of President/CEO. Throughout Michelle’s tenure, the Credit Union has experienced tremendous growth, expanded its services, and provided exceptional service to its members.
The Board of Directors of American United Federal Credit Union has appointed Jacob Bowman as the new President/CEO, effective September 1, 2023. Jacob Bowman is a seasoned executive with nine years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to joining American United Federal Credit Union’s staff four ago, Jacob held a position on the American United Board of Directors. Mr. Bowman has also held leadership positions at
Cushman & Wakefield and the Veterans Health Administration, where he developed a reputation for strategic vision, innovation, and operational excellence.
In addition, Amy Daniels will assume the position of Executive Vice President effective September 1, 2023. Amy brings 21 years of experience in the financial services industry, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership, operational expertise, and a strong commitment to member satisfaction.
