GLENDORA, CA (May 12, 2015) — America’s Christian Credit Union, in partnership with Project Glendora Yellow Ribbon, will be hosting the 2nd annual Patriot Week during the week of May 18-22, in celebration of military heroes and first responders.

Patriot Week kicks off at ACCU’s headquarters in Glendora, CA, with Opening Ceremonies on Tuesday, May 19 at 8:00 am. Join city officials, military groups and community members as they dedicate the week to celebrating and expressing gratitude for local heroes. On Thursday, May 21, ACCU will be hosting a Veterans Resource Fair from 2:00 to 4:00 pm providing access to helpful community resources. Also on May 21, the Family Day Celebration will take place from 4:00 to 6:00 pm. Enjoy games, crafts, raffle prizes and a special ceremony with honorable guest speakers. All week long there will be contests, crafts and displays in ACCU’s Glendora branch.

Patriot Week will also feature a patriotic essay writing competition among local grade-school children, and a Wednesday bake-off where donated baked goods will be delivered to Glendora’s first responders by local girl scouts.  “It is both an honor and a privilege to partner with the community to put on this event and celebrate the heroes who serve us every day.” – Mendell Thompson.

America’s Christian Credit Union will be donating $10 to Vet Hunters – a local non-profit providing services to homeless veterans and family members — for every new account opened in the Glendora branch during Patriot Week. “I am touched by the investment that America’s Christian Credit Union has in the community as a whole. I thank you for your hard work and leadership to honor our military heroes.” – Kevin George.

All events are open to the public and everyone is encouraged to attend. For more information on Patriot Week and how to get involved, visit www.AmericasChristianCU.com/PatriotWeek.
