AmFirst charitable fundraising rockets to $160,000 in 2024

AmFirst announced today that the credit union’s 2024 Community  First Initiative raised $160,000 for Central Alabama nonprofits.

Four groups chosen by AmFirst  employees earlier this year will benefit  from the fundraising efforts. SafeHouse, Pathways, Girls Inc. of Central Alabama  and Cahaba Valley Health Care will each  receive a gift of $40,000 to empower  their diverse missions, which range from  domestic violence prevention to free  dental and vision care for populations in  need.

“Supporting our community is at the heart  of what we do at AmFirst. This year, we are proud to have raised $160,000 for four outstanding nonprofits that work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives  of so many,” said Bill Connor, President &  CEO of AmFirst. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our members, staff, and partners, who came together to make a lasting impact.  Together, we’re not just building financial futures; we’re helping to build stronger, healthier communities for  everyone.”

AmFirst's Community First Initiative has raised and given over $1.29 million to Alabama nonprofits and  charitable organizations since 2014.
