AMOCO shows appreciation to local company

TEXAS CITY, TX (March 16, 2023) — It’s no secret that AMOCO Federal Credit Union loves its members and the community it serves.

Through its partnership with over 600-plus companies, who offer AMOCO’s products and services to their teams, AMOCO has long supported efforts to show appreciation to those companies by sponsoring various events in different capacities.

The latest endeavor, under the leadership of CEO and President, Shawn Bailey, by a team of 26 employee volunteers of AMOCO passed out breakfast burritos and all the fixings to more than 6,000 Marathon-Galveston Bay Refinery employees and contractors on March 8, March 9, and concluded on March 15. The free breakfast was catered by JLS Restaurants LLC.

“Showing our appreciation for these hardworking men and women was our pleasure,” Bailey said. “It was an absolute joy to be able to give back to an organization that is a mainstay in this community.”

Since its founding in 1937, AMOCO has been committed to serving the financial needs of its members, which include Marathon, as well as several other businesses in the Greater Houston-Galveston metroplex.
