Apple wins Prince William Chamber Business Award

Apple was honored with the 2019 Community Outreach Award from the Prince William Chamber of Commerce at its annual awards banquet on February 26.

The award recognizes for-profit member businesses for their outstanding support of the community, and not-for-profit organizations, through volunteer hours, in-kind goods and services, philanthropic support and corporate policy that stipulates and encourages community involvement.

In celebrating this great achievement, Dawn Davis, director of community engagement, wrote in an email to the members of the Community Involvement Subcommittee and graciously said, “Thank you for your continued commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of the communities we serve. A great start to 2019!”

Our efforts in the Prince William area include: Northern Virginia Family Service Hunger Resource Center; Sandwiches for SERVE; Healthy Families Program; Training Futures Adult Email Mentoring Program; Apple Community Impact Grant; a financial education workshop series for Head Start children; Habitat for Humanity ReStores; and our annual initiatives such as Apple Scholars, Collect for Kids School Supply Drive, food drive and the Holiday Gift Giving Program.
