Arkansas Federal Credit Union breaks ground on new branch in Rogers

Credit Union's 2nd location in Rogers, 1st ground-up branch build in northwest Arkansas

LITTLE ROCK, AR (May 15, 2023) — Arkansas Federal Credit Union broke ground today for a new, $6.5 million branch in Rogers, Ark. When completed this fall, the branch will be Arkansas Federal’s second location in Rogers.

Officials on hand for the groundbreaking Rodney Showmar, president and CEO of Arkansas Federal Credit Union; Jad Malek, senior vice president and chief retail officer; Sultan Ali, vice president of northwest Arkansas retail operations; Jon Moore, chairman of the board; in addition to Rogers Mayor Greg Hines; Steve Cox, senior vice president of economic development at Rogers-Lowell Chamber of Commerce; Arkansas Sen. Bart Hester; Arkansas Sen. Josh Bryant; Rogers City Council members Clay Kendall, April Legere and Marge Wolf; John Schmelzle, chairman of the Rogers Planning Commission and other community and business leaders.

This new full-service branch will employ 10 staff and offer comprehensive financial services, loans and mortgages, treasury management, and insurance services. The new facility will also offer four hoteling cubicles and a retail training room.

The branch will be located at 1003 S. 52nd St. in Rogers. The 7,904-square-foot facility will represent first ground-up build for the company in northwest Arkansas. Architecture firm Williams & Dean of Little Rock designed the new facility, while construction will be handled by Hydco Construction of North Little Rock. Construction is scheduled to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2023.
