Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union donates to food banks during 2014 Holiday Season

DALEVILLE, AL (December 5, 2014) — Army Aviation Center Federal Credit Union (AACFCU) donated thousands of pounds of food to local food banks in its service areas following its annual food drive. Each October, AACFCU employees and members come together in a company-wide effort to collect food and supplies for local organizations. In 2014, the Credit Union was able to assist 10 organizations in preparing for the holiday season.

Donations were given to the following organizations:

  • Light of the World Ministries in Daleville, Ala.
  • Daleville Christian Fellowship in Daleville, Ala.
  • Daleville United Methodist Church in Daleville, Ala.
  • Enterprise Christian Mission in Enterprise, Ala.
  • Wiregrass United Way Food Bank in Dothan, Ala.
  • Dale County Rescue Mission in Ozark, Ala.
  • Pike County Salvation Army in Troy, Ala.
  • Bay Area Food Bank in Mobile, Ala.
  • The Matrix in DeFuniak Springs, Fla.
  • Caring and Sharing of South Walton in Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.

Each year, AACFCU organizes a food drive as well as other donation drives and fundraisers to support local communities.
