The Associated Credit Union Foundation organized a Back-to-School Drive in June and July, collecting donations at their 24 branch locations. Members and employees dropped off donations ranging anywhere from stuffed backpacks to graphing calculators to notebooks by the box load.
Additionally, at the Main Office location, several departments organized internal donations among employees to grow the number of supplies that the students would receive.
“We were so impressed by the members and employees dedication to the charities we support at ACU,” said Rachael Jernigan, Event Organizer. “The amount of supplies that were donated to help these children start the year off right was incredible to see.”
Four charitable organizations received generous donations of school supplies as a result of the drive. These charities include: Quinn House Ministry in Lawrenceville, Wilderness Works and Atlanta Leadership Club in Atlanta, and Child Enrichment, Inc in Augusta.
