ATMIA announces new cash promotion category for third annual ATMmys Marketing Awards competition

SIOUX FALLS, SD (January 13, 2021) — The ATM Industry Association (ATMIA) is pleased to announce the addition of a new category, Cash Promotion, to the third annual ATMmys. This new section will review and reward advertising campaigns focused on the positive promotion of cash and its use. Promotions in this category can be digital, content, or video and will be reviewed by ATMIA’s own CEO, Mike Lee.

The ATMmys is an annual marketing awards competition presented by the ATMIA International Marketing Forum (IMF) and dedicated to recognizing the hard work and creativity required to promote cash and ATM products and services to businesses and consumers worldwide.

“Last year’s ATMmys was a big success, receiving far more entries than our first year,” said Rebecca Hellmann, chairperson for ATMIA’s IMF and director of marketing for FCTI, Inc. “And, with the global pandemic creating challenges for businesses worldwide, we look forward to seeing some of the innovations in messaging and purpose our industry produced throughout 2020, especially in the Cash Promotions sector.”

In addition to the new Cash Promotions category, the contest will also accept entries for the usual categories of Digital, Content and Video. These submissions will be evaluated by a team of impartial judges with extensive experience in marketing, design, and journalism. Judges are set to be announced for each category in the coming months.

First, second and third place awards will be presented in all four categories. Winners will be announced at the 2021 ATMIA US Conference, April 28-30, 2021, in Las Vegas, NV and online. First place winners will be invited to present their campaign in a follow-up IMF webinar post-show.

“The ATMmys continues to be a unique opportunity for industry marketers to celebrate industry creativity while gaining feedback from marketing professionals,” said Blanda Marketing & Public Relations CEO and co-chair of the IMF Alicia Blanda.

Submissions for the ATMmys Competition must be placed by 11:59 p.m. CST on March 1st, 2021. All submissions must be from campaigns, advertising or marketing promotions posted or displayed after between December 1, 2019 and December 31, 2020.

The cost for each submission is $10 for ATMIA members and $15 for non-members. All proceeds go toward furthering the education, strategies, promotion and understanding of Marketing for the ATM Industry.
